Mares Tutor dive computer

This topic is about the upcoming development of a software to read out the Mares Tutor dive computer with linux.

Unfortunately there are currently no specifications available and the mares product manager seems not be willing to give any support at all. Currently I am getting in touch with the developer of a windows freeware for the guardian/tutor/surveyor to have some syngery started.

Hardware

Protocol

This is a big topic. Collecting information and reverse engineering will be an issue. To be done soon.

Interface

My first version of an interface consists of two screws screwed into a rubber with a distance of 35mm and a hair tie wink This is - of course - only a very early alpha version... And it is the most simple interface you can imagine. (sorry for the bad quality of the pictures but they were shot with a very cheap webcam)
the gory parts the heart of this high-tech interface in more detail glued together

Schematics

There is a page here with lots of valuable stuff (schematics, software).

Linux
